Home influencer Anne-Marie aka @thislittle_houseofmine recently shared how to make a DIY mop pumpkin, a unique crafty decoration, from just a few super inexpensive items that you may already have lying around your home/garden. You will need:

Mop head

One hair bobble

A small twig


It is important to opt for a mop head that is neutral or Halloween appropriate colours. For the stem, a thick stick works best as this will be more resemblant to a real pumpkin.

1. Start by tying the strands together towards the end of the mop head using the hair bobble
Tie the mop strands securely at the end with a hair bobble
2. Secondly, split the mop strands in the middle above where you tied

3. Put the plastic end of the mop head through the strands

4. Repeat step 3 with the other end of the mop so that the two ends meet inside the head

5. To finish, pop your twig through the bobble end of the pumpkin!
